pieces of home

Have I mentioned that the guy at Salvation Army knows me by name?  Oh yes, he has a list of the things I'm looking for and hoping to find.  He has my number just in case something on my list gets donated.  The shop on the other side of the recycling center is another that I frequent.

We have found some beauties.  And we have found pieces that I hope will become that, with a bit of love and refinishing (let's just say, slow progress).  That's for another time...

This piece is one that I'm still trying to figure out.  I'll sell it if I can't figure out where to put it.  Right now it is next to the bed in the 3rd bedroom/office.  It is lovely though.
And online we found some awesome dressers/bedside tables.  It took a lot of time, but once we found them we got them for an amazing deal and they literally fit perfectly.
An amazing little changeable that is so unique.  It also hold socks, undies, diapers and has a bookshelf.  What more could you want?  I hope to eventually strip the paint and sand it down, depending on what kind of wood it is.  I love it though.
And wonderfully random things like a chalk/art board that has come in handy and a rocking horse that Iris went straight to and the guys at Salvation Army gave it to her for free.  And a cork board that I am slowly putting pictures on.  It sits at my desk and is a constant reminder of people I love.

Still don't have pictures up on walls, but we are getting there.
