Inspiration

Blogging is a funny thing. Since I've gotten on a roll the last couple months, I found that I enjoy posting on an almost daily basis. But, then there are days where the inspiration is minimal. So, then the question is - do I just let that day go in the blogging world? Do I find some kind of inspiration? Other days, I have random profound moments and am very inspired by an array of things - Clint & Evee, relationships around me, something I've read or seen, something we did... So, those days, do I write and save posts for future use? Do I post all 2 or 3 on the same day since it's more real to me at that time?

So, these are the thoughts going through my head tonight :). Now, as for inspiration in some other areas...

I think that Lizette Greco and her family are such a beautiful picture of reusing materials and building creativity within your family, in your children and in yourself. The above picture is one of their creations. I know I'm not giving much info on here, but believe me, I'm sure you'll be inspired by checking out their profile, site and the interview (last link).

A quick profile can be found here - http://www.flickr.com/people/lizettegreco/

Her/their official site is http://www.lizettegreco.com/

If you want to know more about the ins and outs, I just found a great interview here. Sorry for all the links in this post!

  2. That is really neat! I love the links.

In terms of blogging, I never post more than once a day. Most people don't check your blog more than that and will likely miss a second post. I do lots of drafts that I save, and schedule some in advance (click on post options to do this). Just my 2 cents for what I do with when I have several ideas in one day! :)

  3. I ran across Lizette Greco on the web a few months ago...I love all of her creations. It's like her children's artwork has come to life! How fun.

  4. Those designs are amazing! Do they really cost $200-$500??? (etsy.com prices) I would love a toy like that, but I guess I'll have to learn to make them myself. =)

  5. Yeah, definitely be inspired to MAKE something and not buy! Pretty crazy! It would be cool to make something like that or the majority of your kid's toys and stuff. I'll let you know if I start doing anything like that :).

  6. I've been struggling with the same blogging issues as you. There are days where I will have four great ideas for posts, then some days nothing at all. In the past I've just posted everything at once, but I think I'm going to try to write and then schedule the ones that aren't very timely for some day when I have nothing else to say!
