Baby Get Green is all about living a simple and peaceful life. I recognize that this will look very different for one person than it will for another. I do believe, however, that there are certain things that can be very beneficial to a lot of people, and that is why this site was created - to help you discover ways to live simpler, cheaper, and greener.
Do you long to have peace and simplicity in your life, home, and/or family? Whether you are a woman who stays home, works outside of the home, works at home, or even if you're simply longing to become a mom - you have come to the right place! My hope is that you will be encouraged and find helpful hints for your particular situation!
So, why the name Baby Get Green? It has really evolved into what I now think it is the perfect name for this site!
Baby—This site will have helpful tips for a variety of people, but because I'm a mom it will be specifically geared toward moms. I want to include in that category women longing for children and even those who long to be married and have kids. Personally, my husband and I tried to get pregnant for awhile (seemed like forever to us!) and lost one baby in the process. It was so difficult and yet I realize that many women have experienced similar or sometimes more difficult circumstances. If you would like any encouragement, prayer, or a ear to listen, please contact me (see contact info at top right).
Get—We are definitely on a journey! It’s about figuring stuff out, helping each other, telling other women what has and has not worked for us...
Green—this word/color comes with a lot of content. It embodies peace & simplicity!
Green is about...
- saving money/living frugally
- being good to the earth and good to our bodies
- it’s about peace - "He (the Lord) makes me lie down in green pastures...he restores my soul" Psalm 23. I love that picture!
- and about growth
